Mariana Bissonnette
Mariana Bissonnette (she/her) is an internationally recognized speaker, author, and AMI 0-6 trained Montessorian working with parents, teachers, trainees, and school leaders in implementing Montessori on either side of the classroom doors. She has over a decade of experience in Montessori classrooms, is a Montessori school administrator, and has supported over 2,500 families with group and 1:1 support.
She is the author of the award-winning book, Babies Build Toddlers: A Montessori Guide to Parenting the First 18 Months, which earned the Gold Medal from the Mom's Choice Awards. She is also the founder of The PEACE Program (Parent Education and Child Empowerment), where she has supported over 2,500 families, 90 Montessori educators, and five Montessori schools.
Mariana has presented at numerous Montessori organizations and affiliates, including the Bay Area Montessori Association, AMI-USA, the AMS Institute of Vietnam, the Childhood Potential Conference, and the AMI Montessori Northwest training center. Her work centers on the depth of the Montessori method in service of the child’s liberation from oppressive systems that constrain their ability to develop as they are striving to.
